kimistyle goes to southern sweden -- fall 2007
Hungry for a mushroom hunting escapade in the Swedish forest? Well, kimistyle will be taking a group of Americans over the Atlantic as we host a culinary tour of southern Sweden in September 2007!! The complete outline of the expedition will be finalized in April 2007, when I get back from a pre-tour jaunt to Sweden in March! But, some of the fun things you will have to look forward to will be daily cooking classes featuring traditional Swedish dishes, glass blowing and lots of shopping at Orrefors and Kosta Boda, visiting ABSOLUT to learn about the distilling process of Vodka!, mushroom hunting and berry picking in the Swedish forests, cooking with chefs from local Swedish restaurants and much more!!
We will also offer the class to native Swedes, so this won't just be a culinary expedition, your trip will be enhanced by a creative social and cultural atmosphere as well! Each day the Swedes will learn to create American inspired dishes, the Americans will learn to create Swedish inspired favorites and together we will all enjoy the feast you have prepared!!
